Following an agreement between the Ministry of Justice & Judiciary southwest State of Somalia and Isha Human Rights Organization on September 2021, it was planned that under output
1.3.3.Community sensitization on basic legal rights with an expected objectives to; conduct public outreach awareness through radio programs, develop legal awareness themes and messages and engaging and facilitating the Southwest state Bar Association to participate in the legal awareness initiatives.
The implementation of the activity started on 28th August 2021 with development of awareness themes and messages as well as live Radio talk shows. The awareness messages airing was done at a frequency of three times a day for three weeks. A total number of 6 live radio talk shows to discuss topical legal issues including legal rights, information and legal redress mechanisms for SGBV victims were aired across three weeks from 29th August 18 September 2021. Additionally, a total number of 100 posters, pamphlets were printed and distributed across strategic areas for effective and efficient communication of the intended messages.
